One thing that really helps to relax after playing lacrosse is using a vaporizer. I looked around online and I read an Arizer Extreme Q Vaporizer review and it was very helpful in deciding which one to buy. I am pretty happy with my purchase. Lacrosse makes me very tired and sore and I definitely need to chill back afterwards. I’m also trying to pack on some pounds, and I get pretty hungry afterward. So I just vape up and then have a protein shake. It’s still pretty hard to gain weight though because I do so much cardio running around all day.

Here’s a video from youtube:

Apart from playing lacrosse all the time, another thing we like to do is watch movies. There really aren’t too many films that involve lacrosse. There was one movie called Toe To Toe which was about two opposing lacrosse players. It wasn’t that good though. If you check on IMDB over there you’ll see it only got 4.4 stars. That’s really not a lot of stars. I wonder if they used a film consultant that knew something about lacrosse? Well if anyone out there is making another movie about this subject, I am available. Set up a meeting with my agent, lol.

But seriously, the level of knowledge among the general public isn’t that high about lacrosse. Plenty of people don’t even quite know the rules. It’s a tough sport and you have to be in great cardio shape to play.

Besides playing lacrosse, one of the things we like to do is grill. Face it, nothing beats the taste of charcoal grilled meat! There’s a bunch of different options for buying a grill though. The decent ones seem to cost between $150 and $300, and there are a alot of bells and whistles on them. So it definitely worth it to read some portable bbq reviews before deciding which one to buy.

I’d definitely go with a Weber though. That company has been around forever and they continue to make top of the line products. I like how they have a whole lines of stationary grills, plus portable ones, and also kettle. Lots of different options to choose from. Myself, I like to get all the tolls and accessories that I can. I already have the Weber Q220 from way back, it cost me about $220 and it has lasted over five years. That’s the thing, you really should pay for quality up front and it will last. I also like that the company manufactures everything in the USA.

The footprint of lacrosse in the Deep South just got bigger. With the addition of teams from North Louisiana, which had been playing in the Texas High School Lacrosse League, The Deep South Lacrosse League has formally changed its name to the Louisiana High School Lacrosse League. If you are new to lacrosse, read the entry on Wikipedia here.

“We are excited about the future of Lacrosse in Louisiana. The establishment of the Louisiana High School Lacrosse League comes from the hard work and dedication of a lot of coaches, parents, players and officials from across the State”, said Mac Bulloch, LHSLL Commissioner. “We still have plenty of challenges ahead of us, but at least we’re all pulling in the same direction.”

Initially there will be an Eastern and Western Districts in Division I, each consisting of six teams. With teams from Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Mandeville, and Ocean Springs in the Eastern Division, and teams from Lafayette and Shreveport making up the West. There will also be a Division II, for first year and new start-up teams.

In Division I, C.E. Byrd, Captain Shreve, Caddo Magnet, and Loyola – all from Shreveport – will join Lafayette High and St. Thomas More from Lafayette in the West. Teams in the East will be Catholic High out of Baton Rouge, Jesuit, Brother Martin, and Rummel High School from New Orleans, Mandeville, and Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

In Division II, Comeaux out of Lafayette, Dutchtown from Baton Rouge, St. Paul’s from Covington, will join Newman and De La Salle from New Orleans, and St. Andrew’s out of Jackson, Mississippi, as first year programs.
